Who Is Janna Waldinger?

I live in a state of awe as an artist, a creative imagemaker. I lead from love and live in integrity while adding to the quality of life. It gives me pleasure to enliven everyday with beauty, confidence, love, new perspectives, to inspire personal freedom and liberation from patterns that bind us. I feel most alive as a visionary teacher … a bridge between worlds of the seen and the unseen, between ordinary and the extra-ordinary.  I see people and give them back to themselves via custom portraits and intuitive tarot readings I call “InSIGHTful Moments.”

Born in Los Angeles in 1958, I was formally trained from an early age to see the world through a photographer’s eye as the daughter of a professional photographer. I was trained to notice the direction of light and shadow, to see within a framework while watching life unfold and capture it for generations to come.  In 1979 I received a Bachelor’s of Art degree from the College of Creative Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara and exhibited my sculptures, tapestries and photographs internationally. You can view a selection of my work in the gallery section of the website. Being an artist is a way of life. It’s not something that I turn on and off. It is ever present. While being an artist involves a synergy of creating something new … life can be lived as art without the emphasis on the object making; that is what inspired me to create “Make Art Of My Day” and share the transformational experience. Too many people have shut down their day dreaming. Imagination is the greatest untapped resource.

My work deepens everyday.  I approach each day uniquely, stretching and growing my skills and talents – as a photographer, as a videographer, as an imagemaker, as a storyteller, as a leader, and as a visionary agent of influence.

For 30 years I have studied the Tarot, an ancient visual tool of symbols, metaphors and archetypes and have helped bring clarity to hundreds of people seeking to make the invisible visible through my intuition and the psychological archetypes that are revealed in a Tarot reading.
